The big story today in America is Karl Rove’s resignation. Rove has stated that he will resign his position on August 31 so he can “Spend more time with his family.” I say Bull Shit. Someone with the amount of power that he has doesn’t just quit to spend time with his family. Something isn’t right here. I suspect that Rove is aware that he’s about to be indicted for one of his many illegal activities and he’s making his escape while he can. I only hope that his resignation wasn’t part of a plea bargaining agreement in order to keep his fat ass out of jail.
Of course, this all begs the question, what will the Village Idiot do without a brain? If we thught that Bush was an incoherent, inarticulate, idiot with Rove pulling his strings, then what can we expect from him after Rove leaves?
It would not surprise me to see Rove magically disappear, only to see him later surface in some third-world country that doesn’t have an extradition agreement with the U.S. If he hurries he can get the property adjacent to Cheney’s. The next few weeks should be interesting. Like Bette Davis said in All About Eve, “Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy night.”
Podcast number 10 is here. In this week’s show I talk briefly about the HRC/Logo Democratic Presidential Debate that happened on Thursday, I also talk about my upcoming vacation to Alaska, and follow that up with three of my favorite podcasts. Take a listen and let me know what you think.
The problems I had with this episode, I wouldn’t wish them on a dead man. The podcast is here, a couple of days late, and it has a few potholes in it, but it is what it is. Take a listen, let me know what you think.
